Numero Group is a Chicago reissue label that specializes in excavating forgotten treasures. One of their most enriching series has been Eccentric Soul. Each collection focuses on one of many small, forgotten soul labels and reveals a unique inspiration, character, and flavor for where and when it came from. The most recent release in the series is a double disc compiling the lesser known hits of Twinight Records, a long gone Chicago original music label that launched the career of Syl Johnson before his Hi Records heyday.
