Palms Out Sounds

Palms Out Sounds appears to be a blog associated with an NYC clothing store. A survey of their posts reveals a lot of good writing about hip-hop in the broader cultural sense, that is not just what the mainstream media reduces the community to. It also reveals a lot of great free mp3s. Remember kids, free online music is okay when you’re using it to educate yourself as to how to better use your music purchasing dollars. I still tithe my income to music and film. A recent post was a somewhat despairing but pretty good snapshot of Southeastern VA, which, if you remember, is where we are. Palms Out was kind enough to mention Relative Theory as one of the cultural beacons of the area, and I can only thank them for noticing. As a bonus, the blog ends with a nifty mix by DJ Krames of Richmond featuring The Cure, Buju Banton, Fabolous, Felix Da Housecat, E-40, J Dilla, Green Velvet, Clipse, Bloc Party, TTC, MIA, and others.
