Air - Pocket Symphony

< author: g booker >

It is getting wicked intense with killer shows and amazing new music these days (rilly), and sometimes things get lost in the shuffle, taken for granted, or otherwise overlooked. Sometimes sustained awesomeness can be a double edge sword, such as when great bands are forgotten on the RTR blog and their fragile little hearts are subsequently broken. We’re sorry, sometimes we get carried away looking for the new and crazy and we settle for obsessively listening to wonderful new releases from steady favorites instead of writing about it, which I know is what really keeps them going. Such has been the case with Air, who we totally forgot to point out dropped the beautiful new album “Pocket Symphony” and I lerv it. I think everybody should come into the store this week and take a listen to the French duo’s effortless majesty. If you come into the store while I’m there and I don’t remember to recommend this album, I will dance a jig for you. If you listen to the album in the store, I will dance a jig about you. If you purchase this album from the store, I will dance a jig on you. If you don’t want any of this to happen, you are insane, but I remind you that you can purchase “Pocket Symphony” from Relative Theory online and completely avoid my exhibitionism while having a fresh copy of some of the year’s best music sent directly to your dungeon.
