Up, Bustle & Out are a band of Bristolean ethnomusicologists who go around the world finding the best musicians available and working with them to take traditional music into a shimmery, progressive modern collaborative effort. Meaning they go everywhere, jam with awesome musicians, and make awesome music. This week saw the release of their eight album, “Mexican Sessions.” No points for guessing where they went to make that. Experimental Central American/ Carribean grooves in a dub style are promised. I’m looking forward to it, as I found their Jamaican experiment last year, “City Breakers,” to be delectible.
