Amon Tobin

< author: g booker >

One of the most inventive electronic composers returns on Tuesday. It has been 4 years or so since Amon Tobin released a proper album (though he has kept himself busy, among other things composing the music for the “Splinter Cell” video game soundtrack). The new drop is called “Foley Room” and here he is using a number of found sounds as the basis for his work. Tobin has always been a painstaking arranger and producer, as well as a brave musical mind never limited to the confines of various dance subgenrae. This album promises to be interesting and perhaps visionary.

i like it. are all the songs on the album as dark as the first two on his myspace?

i guess its kind of sinister. i know one of the ladies at work called it “uncle fester music” when i was playing it.
