Dr. Dog is a fantastic group from one of my favorite cities Phillidelphia PA, and their newest full length album titled We All Belong comes out in a little over a week (Feb 27). Basically what you need to know about this group is that they are fantastic. Sometimes they remind me of the Grateful Dead but less spacey, or The Beatles, sometimes the vocals make me think of Wayne Coyne of the Flaming Lips, and sometimes the music makes reminds me of Wilco, but they always make my ears happy. Lots of cool piano and organ tones, deliberate guitar parts, and soothing but striking lyrics. This will most likely be the soundtrack to you drinking beer and sitting on the porch this summer. I reccomend going to their myspace and listening to My Old Ways off of the soon coming LP.
