The Police

The Police are definitely reuniting at the 49th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on Febuary 11th. However rumors have been circulating that a possible North America tour is in the works. The announcement will come on Feb. 12, with a press conference in Los Angeles at the Whisky a Go Go. The Police were last seen playing together in 2003 to commemorate their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. This would be the first Police tour since 1984. The Group disbanded in 1986 even though there was no formal annoucement as each member went on to pursue their own solo career.

So, I thought they sounded pretty good. The main issue has to the Police putting the breaks on was Copeland and Sting. Copeland’s meter was on at the Grammy’s so this could be a positive. On his game, Copeland is one of the most influencial players who had an effect on so many. This could be hot; Sting still writes great songs though I don’t nessesarily love everything he does solo. Still you got to say there are jewels on every sting album he ever did. I would go to see them again in a heart beat. Hope it happens
