If you were lucky enough to be at Relative Theory back on November 1st, then you are familiar with delectable Portland Post-Rock outfit Grails and the tremendous (so I hear incessantly) brutally gorgeous live show they put on. Well apparently as soon as Temporary Residence LTD (Explosions in the Sky, Mono, The Ladies) heard that Grails was good enough to play Relative, they knew they had to jump on that quick. So, Grails’ newest full-length album, Burning Off Impurities, will be released May 1st on TRL, exactly six months after their performance at RTR (coincidence? Yo no creo). They will then embark on a three week jaunt around the country with Mono and World’s End Girlfriend (who recently collaborated on an album) that hits the Satellite Ballroom in Charlottesville on May 13.
