Sorry to relay this to you a bit late but we have some bad news…
We played last night in Charlotte, NC at the Milestone. In the 15 minutes between us packing up everything and coming back into the bar to say goodbye to the owners our van was broken into and stolen.
It had everything in it. Our entire lives were stolen last night. We have nothing but the clothes on our back and my laptop. Everything else is gone…all our merchandise, all our equipment, all our clothes, a lot of cash, our van…EVERYTHING.
Regardless, we are not gonna make it to the show tonight as we are staying in charlotte for the next few days to hopefully recover some of our stuff. Thank you for booking us, hopefully we can make it again sometime in the future.
Also I received the weekly email from Daytrotter this past Sunday and they elaborate on the summer’s rainchecks due to traveling mishaps. Poor people out on the road trying to make a living is not the most dependable form of entertainment. I remember when Relative opened we had two shows fall through in the first 6 months, well this kid ended up driving an hour and a half to both of them and seeing absolutely nothing. He told me this was a heist, we were the worst run business he had ever stepped foot in, that he had never been treated this way in his entire life and I remember thinking this kid listens to way too much emo. Either way in the past 31 days we have had 83 bands scheduled to play the record store and of these 19 have cancelled. It’s a pain in the ass.

i didnt mean to end on that note. someone was talking to me and i hit publish. in regards to Awesome Cool Dudes they are still just that and we hope to bring them back in the future. We also hope they receive plenty of help in trying to get their stuff back.
