If you need / want anything, you can always order here.

Neil Young - Living With War (200 Gram Vinyl)

Excuse me, is this 1969, during the time when Rock bands released an album every nine to twelve months and they were all great? Last summer Neil Young recorded what will likely be remembered as one of his best albums ever in “Prairie Wind” and then eight months later delivers a new protest album that will make, even the most conservative thinkers, rethink the state of the world. Maybe it takes the wisdom of time and experience to drill down to the heart of issues these days instead of the open mindedness of youth as in the past. It isn’t one of the newer bands on the scene shining a light on the ugly side of human nature, they are all trying to sell a million records ( make that five million records) so that they buy that house in the Hills. Instead it is the old man of ROCK AND ROLL that delivers the familiar one two punch that makes people question the course we are on. Regardless of your politics, “Living WIth War” will rock your world and hit a chord that needs to be struck.

Mark Knopfler & Emmy Lou Harris - All the Roadrunning (2xLP; 180 Gram Vinyl)

For several years, the iconic Mark Knopfler and Emmylou Harris have been quietly recording a remarkable collection of duets whenever the Grammy-winning artists could steal away from their own illustrious careers. The extraordinary result is All The Roadrunning. The songs from their Nashville sessions, all originals, while undeniably modern, have the appeal of classics, whether country (”Love And Happiness For You”), Celtic flavored (”All The Roadrunning”) or gently soulful (”If This Is Goodbye”). All The Roadrunning is Knopfler and Harris making music and, as the lyric for “This Is Us” puts it, making history.

Devendra Banhart - Cripple Crow (2xLP; Gatefold)

The vinyl version comes with eight additional songs! This is his fourth studio album and first in the US through XL Recordings. Devendra exploded on the international music scene three years ago, quickly accumulating devoted fans as well as an unusually hefty amount of critical kudos with his debut and subsequent releases. “There’s something about Banhart’s muse that defies words and logic, something to these songs that hints at a deeper connection to the cosmos than most of us share. Jeff Buckley might have had that gift; John Lennon and Van Morrison certainly did. Add to that list Devendra Banhart, an astonishing talent whose future work promises to bring us to exciting new places” - Harp Magazine.

Vetiver - To Find Me Gone (2xLP; Gatefold)

To Find Me Gone is the second album by Andy Cabic’s ever-evolving band Vetiver, released two years after the debut self-titled release. Andy has since toured the world, usually as a member of Devendra Banhart’s band, and sometimes even with Vetiver. In those two years, Vetiver has expanded into a full-on singer-songwriter band/project, aided and abetted by some of the best players (and usually his best friends) in the extended family of which Cabic finds himself a member. Cabic explains, “This album sure has a lot of folks playing on it, same as on a Bobby Charles or Jerry Jeff Walker record, all good folks and friends.”

Flaming Lips - At War With the Mystics (2xLP; 180 Gram Vinyl)

Cosmic, consciousness-expanding and mind-shattering, At War With The Mystics, the highly anticipated follow-up to The Flaming Lips’ Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots brings together the expressiveness of recent albums with the heaviness, volume and intensity of the band’s earlier work. At War With The Mystics is personal, political, psychedelic and powerful pop.

Kayo Dot - Dowsing Anemone With Copper Tongue (2xLP; Gatefold; Colored Vinyl)

This is the deluxe gatefold 2xLP of KAYO DOT’s latest opus, on limited colored vinyl! Boston, Massachusetts’ eight-piece “avant-metal” outfit KAYO DOT follow up their much-heralded 2003 debut (on John Zorn’s Tzadik label) with their Robotic Empire debut, “Dowsing Anemone with Copper Tongue”. These five tracks (spanning 60+ minutes) delve into the myriad depths that heavy music can attain, but reach far beyond into the vast realms of ambience.

This isn’t typical track-by-track genre-bending as much as it is a complete orchestral work, calling upon elements of jazz, metal, noise, and ambience to guide you through their haunting sonic landscapes and picturesque movements. Often bleak and at times quite unsettling, KAYO DOT further amazes by dismissing conventional structures in the styles they have already mastered, looking forward and taking extreme music to places it’s only imagined possible.

ISIS - 3.19.03 (2xLP; Colored Vinyl)

A limited edition vinyl version of the second ISIS live tour CD-R. Special limited edition double LP pressed in an edition of 1000. Recorded in Stockholm, Sweden, March 19, 2003.

OM / Current 93 - Split (7″)

Doomcrunchbuddhafuzzspree. That’s what Misha Mengleberg would’ve called Om’s side of this 7-inch single. If you think that once the music hits the air and it can no longer be “contained,” then your needle hasn’t slid through this groove because it’s heavier than a flightless bird. Mr. Chasny doesn’t remove anything from the scale either. His side, “Assyrian Blood,” contains what seems to be subliminal fuzz/noise blips– like bugs hitting your windshield except that you can hear them. Thankfully they coalesce into a stunning guitar solo that cuts through the chant and goes straight for the jugular.

Ariel Pink - My Molly EP (7″)

A limited edition EP from avant-pop favorite Ariel Pink. Written and recorded when Pink was 19 years old, the songs are more straight forward and simply structured than much of his work, but never fail to reveal his knack with sound and psychedelic dabbling. Five tracks, including a cover of The Smiths’ “Rock Play.”
