Nicecast

< author: david >

I am getting ready to set up Nicecast on the store stereo so you can stream what we are listening to making Last FM more essential to the new era record store. I had this set up with a computer in 2004 - some of you may remember it as we had a few steady listeners. Hopefully Nicecast will be up and running this afternoon.

this is essentially open format radio without advertising. which is good and bad. the only advertising i like or prefer is the style npr stations go with where they read ads like it came in off the newswire. old school style. yeah. i dig.

So…as I cannot find any link or instructions on how to take advantage of your nicecast (I reconginze the possibility that I’m an idiot and they are in front of me)…would it be safe for me to assume they will be put up when it is up and running?

I know you guys are busy with everything else. But, to tease me with nicecast and then say your just too busy to get it up and running is cruel. The fruit of your labor will not rot on the understory. Oh no, it will be consumed and spread around the ecosystem that is my life. What I’m trying to say is, I’m looking forward to hearing, at home, what everyone in the store is listening to.
